Who decides the selling price?

We calculate an estimated selling range from the live Swiss market and the details of your car, and you confirm the selling price with us before anything is advertised. Nothing is published at a price you have not agreed.

How is the estimated selling range calculated?

We read the live Swiss market for your exact model and specification and weigh the cars that are actually selling, together with your mileage, condition, options and history.

Does it cost anything to list my car?

No. Your estimate, the photos we take and the marketing are free. You pay nothing upfront.

How does Carease make money?

Only through the Success fee: 5% of your selling price, with a minimum of CHF 990, charged only when your car sells. It is deducted from the sale proceeds, so there is never anything to pay in advance.

How much do I receive?

Your selling price minus the Success fee of 5%, with a minimum of CHF 990. If your car sells at CHF 30'000 the fee is CHF 1'500 and you receive CHF 28'500. On a CHF 10'000 car the CHF 990 minimum applies, and on a CHF 120'000 car the fee is CHF 6'000.

How do I get started?

Everything starts online in about 2 minutes. You enter your Swiss plate or your car details, answer a few quick questions about service history, inspection and condition, and you get your estimated selling range. You confirm it on WhatsApp or by email and we take care of the rest.

Do I have to leave my car with you?

No. Your car stays with you and you keep driving it. You only show it when an interested buyer is ready, and every viewing is arranged around your availability.

Do you work where I live?

Yes. Carease works across the whole of Switzerland and everything is handled online, in German, French, Italian and English. There is nothing to drop off anywhere.

Which documents do I need?

The vehicle registration (Fahrzeugausweis) so we can verify the car, the service booklet if you have it, and both sets of keys at handover.

Who takes the photos?

We do. We come to you, photograph your car properly and complete a quick check at your location, so your listing looks right without any work on your side.

How do I manage my listing?

We manage it for you. Write to us on WhatsApp or by email whenever you want to change the photos, the mileage or anything else, and we take care of it.

Can the price change later?

Yes. If the market moves or buyer interest tells us something, we discuss it with you and adjust the price together. Nothing changes without your agreement.

Can I keep driving my car?

Yes, that's the whole idea. Keep using it as usual and send us your mileage now and then so buyers always see the right figure.

What if something happens to the car while it's listed?

Just tell us. If there is new damage or a repair, we adjust the photos and the listing so nothing surprises a buyer.

How do buyer viewings work?

We answer the enquiries, qualify the buyers and arrange viewings around your availability. You simply show the car, and we handle the negotiation.

When and how do I get paid?

Once we receive the payment from the buyer, we transfer the funds to your bank account within 5 days, with the 5% Success fee (minimum CHF 990) deducted from the sale proceeds.

When do I hand over the car and the plates?

Only when it is sold and paid. You keep the car registered and on the road until then, and deregister it once the sale is done.

Who handles the sales paperwork?

We do. We prepare the digital sales contract and manage the transfer of ownership with the buyer. The only thing we can't do is deregister the car, as by Swiss law only the owner can do that.

Can you show me an example?

Your car sells at CHF 50'000. The 5% Success fee of CHF 2'500 is deducted from the proceeds and you receive CHF 47'500. Nothing is due before the sale.

Where do you sell my car?

We list your car on AutoScout24 and across our buyer network.

Private buyers and vetted Swiss dealers. You sell your own car, we handle the enquiries and negotiate on your behalf so you get a fair price without the hassle.

What if I change my mind?

Just tell us. You can stop the sale at any moment, free of charge, and your car never left you anyway.
